Autel MS906 Pro - A Guide to Customize VW Oil Change Intervals

Today I’m gonna guide you how to customize oil change intervals, taking  VW as an example, with Autel MS906 PRO. The vehicle has dual channel maintenance. So we have an oil change reminder channel which is the first mileage 5,000 miles. And an inspection channel which is the second mileage 10,000 miles.

First, Start your MS906 Pro and connect it to your VW, enter the main menu,

Service >> Oil reset >> Volkswagen

Here we can do Auto Oil Reset, Oil Service Reset, Ins Service Reset, Oil and Ins Service Reset, Service Set(Professional) and Help Information of Resetting Manually.

Service set(professional) >> SIA: maximum value of distance to service

That's how we can actually modify the interval to what we want.

So for exampe, if we click on that 8,000km, that’s the reminder interval 5,000 miles on dash.

Some people run 10,000 miles while some people run 7,500 miles. You can do the calculation for how many kilometers to put in there. We put in 8,000km, so we have 5,000 miles.

We also can change the mileage related inspection.

Selected “FIX: max, Distance until next mileage-related inspection”.

This is how long until the next inspection 16,100km, this would be 10,000 miles on dash.

We’re able to add up adapt both of those channels using the MS906 Pro or MK906 Pro. That’s really convenient to be able to go into the oil change reset service menu.

With the tool, it’s effective to access to the manual setting and we can cusomize our oil change intervals on VW if it has this style of maintenance indicator.

EEPROM Key Programming: A Vital Solution for Lost Car Keys

EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) programming is a process that enables locksmiths to access and modify your vehicle’s immobilizer data. When all keys are lost, an EEPROM read-out allows a professional locksmith to reset the immobilizer, making it accessible to program new keys without getting to the original key data. This process is particularly valuable for newer vehicles with advanced immobilizer systems.
